We're committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth, learning, and collaboration. **Key Responsibilities:** As a Customer Service/Sales Representative, your key responsibilities will include: * Providing fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance * Learning about products and services using our tools and providing information to customers to sell entire projects * Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer in your department * Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe * Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards * Working in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department and other departments * Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner * Meeting or exceeding sales targets and contributing to the success of your department * Participating in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and knowledge **Essential Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred * 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience, preferably in a retail or home improvement environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues * Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly about new products and services * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time **Preferred Qualifications:** While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus: * Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a retail or home improvement environment * Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, plumbing, and other related products and services * Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling * Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays **Skills and Competencies:** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our associates grow and develop their careers.
