BIM Specialist - Civil

Description We're seeking a talented BIM Consultant - Civil - to join our Infrastructure Team. If you have 4+ years of civil engineering experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant civil engineering applications, we'd love to hear from you. Professional registration (P.E.), industry accreditations (ENV SP), and E.I.T. desirable but not required. What You'll Do: • Provide technical support, subject matter expertise, and training on CAD, BIM, VDC, and GIS workflows and technologies. • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff clearly and effectively. • Stay up to date on application functionality, workflows, and industry trends. • Consult with clients to identify challenges and recommend innovative, tech-driven solutions. • Identify opportunities to introduce Symetri's technology and consulting offerings to clients, including Autodesk products, partner solutions, and custom applications. • Support Symetri's sales team with technical presentations and pre-sales client demonstrations. • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring alignment with business goals. Skills & Experience: • 4+ years of practical civil engineering or related experience using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D from conceptual design to construction. • Experience with the implementation and use of GIS, particularly Esri ArcGIS Pro. • Knowledge of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), and modern delivery systems. • Proven success with BIM platform technologies within a civil engineering firm or government entity. • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. • Professional registration (P.E.) and industry accreditations (ENV SP), E.I.T. are a plus. • Knowledge of sustainable design is a plus.
