Virtual School Social Worker in CA

A K-12 School in Lincoln, CA is seeking a licensed Social Worker to provide leave coverage from December 12 through potentially the end of the school year. This contract opportunity involves addressing the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of students through telehealth and in-person support. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting assessments via interviews, observations, and standardized tools to identify student needs • Delivering individual and group counseling focusing on anxiety, grief, trauma, social skills, conflict resolution, and behavioral issues • Developing intervention plans and monitoring student progress • Performing crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and conducting risk assessments including suicide and self-harm concerns • Collaborating with parents, updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and coordinating with school staff to support student success Desired Qualifications: • Valid Social Work license in California • Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred • Skilled in telehealth service delivery as well as face-to-face interaction • Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt interventions accordingly • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents and educators This position offers 37.5 hours per week during the contract period, primarily serving students across the K-12 spectrum.
