Fractional COO for E-Commerce Brand - Data Analysis, Operations & Financial Analysis
As our Fractional COO/GM, you’ll own the operational engine of the company while ensuring every move is financially and data-backed. This role is part-time and remote. Pay is $1000/month until we scale revenue and this becomes a full-time role.
1. Operations Leadership
Oversee end-to-end ecommerce ops: Shopify backend, fulfillment, 3PL, inventory accuracy, and restock planning.
Build scalable systems, SOPs, and workflows across operations, fulfillment, product, and support.
Drive operational efficiency across logistics, freight, returns, and warehouse communication.
Connect operations with marketing and finance to ensure cross-functional alignment.
2. Data Analysis & Insights
Build and maintain KPI dashboards (CAC, ROAS, MER, LTV, AOV, return rate, inventory turns).
Translate data into weekly and monthly recommendations.
Conduct deep product and channel performance audits.
Own demand forecasting across inventory and marketing cycles.
3. Financial Analysis, Cash Flow & Budget Management (Expanded)
Own cash flow management:
Model inflows/outflows weekly
Predict cash constraints early
Recommend spend pacing to maintain healthy cash runway
Track contribution margins, COGS, freight, 3PL fees, and operating expenses.
Analyze unit economics at SKU level to guide product + pricing decisions.
Lead monthly finance meetings with founders to align spend, growth, and runway.
Ensure every operational and marketing action supports profitable scaling.
4. Performance Marketing Strategy
Strong understanding of Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads, attribution, and reporting.
Evaluate paid marketing performance: ROAS, MER, spend efficiency, creative performance, and blended profitability.
Advise on ad spend pacing based on inventory levels, margins, and cash flow forecasts.
Build feedback loops between paid ads → inventory → fulfillment → margins → cash cycles.
Not responsible for launching ads — but expected to interpret the numbers better than the media buyer.

Required Skillsets
Advanced Data Analysis: Modeling, spreadsheets, dashboards, and insights.
Operations Management: Inventory, logistics, fulfillment, and ecommerce systems.
Financial + Cash Flow Expertise: Deep understanding of P&Ls, cash flow forecasting, unit economics, and margin optimization.
Performance Marketing Fluency: Understand how paid ads, CAC, ROAS, and creative cycles impact cash, inventory, and operations.
Systems Thinker: Builds automation, structure, and repeatable processes.
Leadership DNA: Excellent communicator with ability to manage cross-functional workflows and contractors.
Bonus Experience
DTC brand scaling experience: $500K–$5M/year.
Apparel, logistics, or supply chain exposure.
Experience with attribution tools (Triple Whale, Northbeam).
Experience in Muslim-owned or mission-driven brands is a plus.
