Biotech Portfolio Lead, Senior Director
Job Description:
• Partner globally with other groups to develop new business and deliver existing business, achieving overall financial goals and ensuring timely execution of clinical trials and other services
• Develop excellent working relationships with internal colleagues and leaders responsible for project delivery, improving information exchange and project understanding
• Provide ongoing consultancy, coaching, and feedback to improve the overall understanding of clients and the ability to deliver to their expectations
• Assist in business development activities, representing PPD Biotech team at bid defenses and contributing to the advancement of our vision
• Collaborate with the Biotech leadership team and other senior colleagues to oversee operational performance, resourcing, financial health/strategy, and business planning and execution
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing support and addressing operational issues
• Represent Operations at the governance level and contribute to the compilation of goals and business plan objectives for strategic partnerships
Requirements:
• Equivalent experience and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification are accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
• 15+ years of previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job
• Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze financial data and make informed decisions
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships in a matrix organization
• Proficiency in project management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management
• Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and directives
• Outstanding marketing and negotiation skills
• Effective in working across geographies and cultures
• Proficiency in enhancing processes and developing effective plans
