Job title: Accounts Payable Specialist Company: NEW ADC LLC Job description: Description: Altman Management Company is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team! The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for: A) processing invoices and check requests for approximately 20 apartment communities, B) maintaining vendor database, and C) coordinating maintenance of the vendor database with other accounts payable associates. For research, management and IRS reporting purposes, and capture all information for a particular vendor under one vendor code. There is significant interaction with property accountants and community managers, as well as periodic communication with banks. Performs a variety of accounting tasks related to the full cycle of processing payable account records, invoices, payment to vendors, etc. Areas of Responsibility • Data Processing and Analysis • Data Entry and Database Maintenance • Document Handling Skills • Typing • Ability to quickly and accurately run adding machine tapes • Light experience with spreadsheet (Lotus or Excel), word processing (Word) software • Excellent oral and written communication skills Attributes • Well organized. • Meticulous, very detail-oriented • Deadline oriented: Understands late processing can mean financial penalties • Able to speedily process volumes of activity with no-to-minimal mistakes • Exercise good judgement. Know when to question • Invoice (document) does not agree with amount per system • Able to work independently, be a self-starter • Has the ability to get things done Requirements: Education High school or equivalent experience.
