OB Nurse Practitioner (CA Licensed) – Phone-Only Telehealth

Location: Remote (California Patients Only) Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time | 1099 Contract Specialty: OB/GYN-Experienced Nurse Practitioner Job Description Alina Telehealth is seeking multiple California-licensed, OB-experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our growing phone-only prenatal telehealth program. This role is fully remote, structured, and focused on routine prenatal follow-up calls. You will review physician-provided summaries, communicate results to pregnant patients, and escalate any complex cases to the supervising physician. No video visits, no in-person work, no after-hours calls. What You’ll Do • Conduct routine phone-based prenatal follow-up calls • Review and relay physician notes regarding: • Lab results • Prenatal screening • Glucose results • Ultrasound findings • Basic bloodwork • Gender reveal information (boy/girl) • Simple OB findings already reviewed by the physician • Provide physician-directed medication adjustments • Answer basic patient questions • Immediately escalate complex concerns • Document all encounters same day in Practice Fusion • Maintain productivity expectations of 25–30 calls per day Schedule • Monday–Friday • 8-hour shifts (fixed daily schedule) • PST time zone • Phone-only, no video • No weekends, no on-call requirements Requirements • Active and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license • Strong OB background (OB/GYN training or significant prenatal experience) • Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret physician summaries • Comfortable with routine prenatal follow-up discussions • Must use HIPAA-compliant VOIP systems (Broadvoice, Doximity, or facility VOIP) • Ability to maintain high call volume with accurate documentation • Telehealth experience preferred but not required Clinical Scope • Setting: Outpatient telehealth • Patient Population: Low-complexity prenatal patients • Workflow: Review physician notes → call patient → document • Technology: • EMR: Practice Fusion (training provided) • VOIP: Broadvoice, Doximity, or facility-approved system • Collaboration: Direct access to supervising OB physician for escalation Why Join Alina Telehealth? • Fully remote work with predictable weekday schedule • Supportive supervising OB physician • EMR and workflow training provided • Malpractice coverage included • Stable, high-volume telehealth environment • Opportunity to join a rapidly expanding statewide program About Alina Telehealth At Alina Telehealth, we are committed to setting the standard for telemedicine and providing evidence-based healthcare services.
