Category Demand Planner
About the position
Responsibilities
• Improve SKU-level forecast accuracy and eliminate bias across products/categories over a 36-month planning horizon.
• Analyze demand factors including market POS data, new/lost business, and service impacts to develop insights into the demand signal.
• Drive consensus with cross-functional teams on demand assumptions.
• Conduct root cause analysis on forecast errors and collaborate with business partners on corrective actions.
• Lead monthly Category Demand Review meetings with Marketing and Commercial partners.
• Mine data for actionable insights to enhance demand planning efforts.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of forecast/demand related analytical experience required.
• Ability to develop and apply forecasting methods with complex inputs from various sources.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, able to navigate ambiguity.
• High proficiency in Excel and experience with forecasting software.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in the consumer goods industry.
