Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs. BJC Home Care provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. Serving more than 25 counties, it has become the largest home care network in the region and one of the largest in the country. The Sullivan Intermittent Home Care Department of BJC Home Care Services provides home visits to patients in Sullivan, Missouri and several nearby counties, with 24 hour on-call home care nursing supervision. Our JCAHO accredited, multi-disciplinary approach combines leading edge technology with a firm belief in the powerful recuperative advantages of receiving home care. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides a variety of multi-skilled direct patient care procedures, assistance and comfort measures under the direction and supervision of a registered healthcare professional. Responsibilities * Performs and assists client with activities of daily living. Collects various clinical data on clients, such as vital signs, temperature, and respiration. Assists client and caregiver in using medical equipment. Notifies professional nurse or nurse supervisor of deviations which could be found detrimental to the health and safety of the client. Appropriately reports changes and documents pertinent information and care rendered to patients to ensure continuity of care.
