Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers, handling high-volume client requests, and working under direct supervision. You will adhere to guideline working techniques and perform obligations in accordance with blithequark's approaches and methodology. Your primary goal will be to utilize our pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and medication data, process new patient enrollments, and handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize blithequark's solution information section methodology and rules to process new patient enrollments by entering data into the appropriate system.
  • Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
  • Investigate to obtain missing medication data and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
  • Resolve all data entry-related exceptions.
  • Handle communication to patients (inbound calls, chats, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary.
  • Resolve Third-Party Rejections by assessing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
  • Make phone calls to payers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve Third-Party Rejections.
  • Provide support to Pharmacists, both those in the office and those at different locations.
  • Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Basic level computer skills (e.g., start and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between applications, save files, print reports or access information online).
  • Basic web browser skills to include opening a browser, typing in URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and filling out forms online.
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate:

  • At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by state as granted by the state Board of Pharmacy or nationally recognized certification agency.
  • Experience providing customer support to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Moderate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
