K12 Certified School Counselor (Remote) - Pennsylvania

Company Description Virtual Counselor is seeking passionate and dedicated Certified School Counselors to join our growing K-12 team in Pennsylvania. This is a remote contract role providing online counseling services to students in a virtual school setting. The School Counselor will play an essential role in supporting student mental health and academic success through virtual counseling, collaboration, and consistent communication with school teams. Virtual Counselor is a Comprehensive Group Telehealth Network specializing in Online Behavioral Health for Teens, Young Adults, Students, K-12 Cyber Schools, College Partnerships, EAP Services, & Business Professionals. The Virtual School Counseling Team is dedicated to partnering with school administration to provide comprehensive telehealth counseling services in unison with student educational goals. We have extensive experience working with online schools since 2013. Our staff are highly trained in state regulations under the Department of Education, IEP compliance, school collaboration, development of SMART goals, and actively engaging with the IEP or SAP team. Role Description • Provide individual counseling services to K-12 students through a secure telehealth platform. • Develop and implement counseling programs that address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs. • Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and families to promote student well-being and educational success. • Work closely with a designated School Lead to understand and follow the assigned school’s policies and procedures. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and company standards. • Schedule sessions directly with families and adhere to the frequency and duration of services as listed in each student’s IEP. • Participate in the onboarding process for new students and ensure continuity of care throughout the school year. • Build positive, professional rapport with students, families, and school staff. • Manage and organize your own schedule while meeting required deadlines. • Receive ongoing support and guidance from the Virtual Counselor administrative team. Qualifications/Requirements • Required Credentials: PA State License or PA School Counselor Certificate • Experience providing counseling services to school-aged children and adolescents. • Familiarity with IEPs, special education processes, and school-based service delivery. • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. • Reliable internet connection and a private, professional work environment for telehealth sessions. • Caseload Minimum: 15 hours per week (25-30 students) with the opportunity for increased hours • Hours: Provided on traditional school days and hours. Daytime availability is required. • Clearances: Updated within one year.
