Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Conducting thorough research on laws and regulations to prepare comprehensive legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda that support our defense strategies.
- Rendering expert opinions on liability, damages, and value to inform decision-making and support our claims handling processes.
- Preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery to ensure effective case management and representation in court.
- Defending cases by trial or dispositive hearing, utilizing your exceptional litigation skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including claims, underwriting, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following essential qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California Bar and licensure to practice law in California.
- 7-9+ years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in insurance defense and litigation.
