3D Character Artist Senior
Gameloft is seeking a 3D Character Artist to contribute to their upcoming Dungeons & Dragons® PC/console project. The role involves developing character styles, collaborating on world-building, and enhancing character creation techniques. This position offers a chance to work with a talented team and contribute to a leading B2B offering dedicated to brands and agencies.
Requirements
- Understanding of technical constraints for cross-platform (consoles/PC/mobile) production
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and character structure
- Proficiency in stylized hair creation techniques (not using hair cards)
- Expertise in 3D modeling tools (3ds Max, Maya, Blender, etc.)
- Expert use of production software such as ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop
- Strong knowledge of the hand-painted texture techniques and experience with PBR pipelines
- Knowledge of advanced baking techniques (normal, AO, cavity, roughness, metalness, etc.)
- Ability to interpret and translate 2D concepts/sketches into high-quality 3D models
- Production experience with Unity or Unreal Engine
- Understanding rigging and shader requirements is a plus
- Shader creation experience in Unity is a strong asset
- Familiarity with Substance Designer, 3D Coat, and Marmoset Toolbag is also a plus
