REMOTE: Sr Systems Programmer

About the position Responsibilities • Provide senior technical oversight for all computing systems and software configurations • Assist in the creation of technical controls, practices, and processes to ensure compatibility and supported versions of operating systems and third-party software • Provide senior technical leadership and consulting services for application programming and computer operations personnel • Ensure adequate technical controls are in place for monitoring system performance and availability • Recommend necessary changes to systems parameters affecting performance and availability • Coordinate and plan training and mentoring for group members consistent with changing technologies and new infrastructure software Requirements • Bachelor's degree in the Information Technology field or equivalent experience • A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in the Information Technology field, with five (5) of these directly related to Systems Programming responsibilities • Specialization in z/OS MVS/VM operating system software and/or one or more subsystems or business applications, such as CICS, DB2, IMS, RACF, SMP/E, JES2, z/OS Communications Server, ASG ZEKE, BMC MAINVIEW, DFSMS (OAM, DFP) • Ability to participate in an on-call 24-hour weekly rotation to respond to problems Benefits • Medical insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Basic life insurance • 401k plan • Paid time off • Paid holidays Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
