College Success Coach (Student Resource Specialist)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide academic and career advising to students.
• Teach required success courses to enhance student learning.
• Promote student attendance and engagement in college activities.
• Assist students with FAFSA and ORSAA completion for financial aid.
• Connect students to community resources and support services.
• Manage a caseload of students, helping them achieve their educational goals.
• Collaborate with other coaches, advisors, and faculty to support student success.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Science, Counseling, or related field.
• Experience working in an educational or social service environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with at-risk and culturally diverse populations.
• Experience in advising and developing educational goals for students.
• Experience managing caseloads and case files.
Nice-to-haves
• One year of academic advising experience in a college setting.
• Experience working with first-generation college students.
• Knowledge of local programs for transitioning students to college.
• Familiarity with degree and certificate requirements.
• Knowledge of FAFSA and ORSAA processes.
