Family Health Nurse - Virtual Team Opportunity in North Yorkshire

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Family Health Nurse to join our 0-6 Service, delivering high-quality universal and targeted health visiting and school health services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical, emotional, and social development of children, working in partnership with parents, carers, and other agencies to drive positive health outcomes.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract position, offering a competitive salary of £29,970 to £36,483 per annum (pro rata) and comprehensive benefits. Although the role is part of our Virtual Team, please note that it is not a remote working position, and you will be required to travel within North Yorkshire for face-to-face training, meetings, and to support our locality teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the national and Public Health agendas in response to identified health and social needs, working in partnership with other agencies and meeting agreed standards, objectives, and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Healthy Child programme, undertaking mandated contacts and targeted interventions, and coordinating care for children, young people, and families.
  • Support the completion of comprehensive health needs assessments, facilitating the mobilization of resources to meet identified needs and ensuring inter-agency/professional partnership working.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills, passion for public health, and good organizational skills to drive success in this role.
