Job Summary:

The First Officer is the Second-in-Command of the flight, responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations, directives, and company policies. As a key member of our team, you will operate our B747-400 or MD11 fleet, working closely with the Captain to guarantee the safe and efficient execution of flights.

Essential Duties:

  • Operate in accordance with Western Global Airlines' approved manuals, Operations Specifications, 14 CFRs, FAA Orders, and manufacturer recommendations
  • Comply with administrative programs, including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements, and uniform discipline

Education and Technical Requirements:

  • Current and valid FAA ATPL
  • Valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • ICAO English Level IV
  • Minimum 2500 hours of total flying experience
  • No history of accidents or incidents
  • Valid US passport for unrestricted international travel
  • Previous part 121 airline/aviation experience preferred
  • Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and 10-year background check

Preferred/Ideal Skills:

  • College degree in Aviation or related field
  • Previous B747-400/Boeing or MD-11/Airbus aircraft type rating
  • 1000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations
  • Military flight time as pilot in command (PIC) of a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane
  • PIC experience in operations under § 135.243(a)(1) or § 91.1053(a)(2)(i)
