Job Summary:

The General Warehouse Worker will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of our Perishable Distribution Center. This will include:

• Moving incoming and outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center using hand trucks, forklift equipment, or other material handling equipment
• Checking, verifying, and auditing merchandise to ensure accuracy and quality
• Identifying, separating, labeling, and palletizing merchandise for storage or shipment
• Replenishing pick areas and filling merchandise orders from stores
• Loading and unloading merchandise from trailers and conveyor systems
• Reporting damages, discrepancies, or vendor compliance issues to supervisors
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic knowledge of simple math concepts and ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit
• Ability to learn and operate motorized merchandise movement equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and quality standards
• Experience working in an automated distribution center or warehouse management systems applications is an asset

Working Conditions:

• Continuous lifting of merchandise up to 65 pounds, with occasional team lifting of up to 85 pounds
• Continuous walking, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and pushing/pulling using hands and/or arms
• May work at heights up to 30 feet above ground, with exposure to dust, noise, extreme heat, and cold
• May work continuously up to 12 hours, with regular breaks and time off
