About the Role:

As a Data Engineer on our Content Statistics team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, and developing data models that drive insights and inform decision-making. You'll work closely with data scientists, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to bridge the gap between data engineering and business outcomes, enabling data-driven decisions that empower our content teams to create and acquire the best content for our subscribers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data models that drive insights
  • Work closely with data scientists, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to inform content decisions
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Flank, and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query)
  • Write complex SQL and develop data orchestration frameworks using Python and other programming languages

Requirements:

  • Strong data engineering skills, with experience in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines
  • Professional data modeling skills, with expertise in data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes
  • Experience with distributed data processing technologies (e.g., Spark, Flank) and cloud-based data warehouses
  • Fluent in Python, with experience in automation and data orchestration frameworks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
