Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine - Adolescent Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine to join our Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional inpatient and outpatient clinical care to a diverse adolescent population, while also contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge through research and teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to adolescents with a range of medical and mental health needs, including eating disorders, menstrual disorders, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and chronic health issues
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Participate in research studies and contribute to the development of new treatments and interventions
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the principles of adolescent medicine
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Florida
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting, preferably with a focus on adolescent medicine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Bilingual Spanish/English or Creole/English skills are highly desirable
