About the position Responsibilities • Serve as a liaison between providers, facilities, pharmacies, insurance plans, support staff, and patients. • Receive, triage, and respond to inbound requests via phone calls and electronic messages. • Assist with virtual care activities such as gathering and documenting medical history, medication refills, and test result communication. • Help maintain provider schedules and prepare patients and charts for telehealth encounters. • Manage outpatient registration, appointment scheduling, referrals to specialists, and patient portal administration. • Authorize services, equipment, and medications as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED required. • Medical Assisting Diploma/Certificate from an accredited training program required. • 1 year of experience in a medical office setting required. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Nice-to-haves • Previous Medical Assistant experience within a Primary Care Medical Group Office. • Recent medication refill experience.
