About the position
Responsibilities
• Greet and check in patients at the healthcare center.
• Verify coverage and eligibility, and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Request co-payment from patients politely and handle any disagreements professionally.
• Answer telephone calls in compliance with departmental procedures and route them appropriately.
• Obtain detailed information in messages and document in the E.H.R.
• Schedule appointments accurately and verify benefit coverage.
• Reconcile cash transactions at the end of each shift, including processing charge tickets and preparing bank deposits.
• Maintain necessary supplies for MAA activities in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Demonstrate a positive customer service approach in all internal and external customer experiences.
Requirements
• 1+ year of customer service experience required.
• PC skills required, including typing and scheduling application experience.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Ability to convey information to customers in a warm, clear, concise manner.
• Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in cash handling in a healthcare setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
