Part-Time, Pediatric School Nurse (Registered Nurse / RN) | Limon, CO

We are looking for a School Nurse in the Limon, Colorado area for the current school year to work with a Special Education student. Position Details • Current School Year: ASAP Start • Part-time: less than 10 hours per month • Caseload: document and screening • Pay Range: $30 - $45 per hour, depending on previous experience and level About You: • Must have active RN Colorado License or a Compact License • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing • Will be required to get fingerprinting done during credentialing process • Must be committed to attending school every day with student • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required General Responsibilities: • Provide dedicated nursing care to one student, including monitoring health status, administering medications, and performing medical procedures as prescribed. • Develop and maintain a healthcare plan in collaboration with the school health team, the student’s family, and healthcare providers. • Respond to and manage acute medical situations related to the student’s condition. • Educate the student, peers, and school staff about the student’s medical needs and safety precautions. • Ensure that all medical interventions and care are documented in accordance with school policies and state regulations. • Serve as a liaison between the student’s family, school personnel, and healthcare providers to coordinate care and communicate the student’s health status. • Participate in school meetings related to the student’s health and educational plans. • Maintain student privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant laws.
