Registered Nurse-Labor and Delivery

Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center Department: Labor and Delivery - Roosevelt Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week Shifts: Nights This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus of $18,000. If you have a heart for moms, a keen eye for details, and the skills to ensure smooth, safe deliveries, we?d love to have you on our team! Hourly Pay Rate: $34.15 - $50.37 Qualifications Education: ? Prefer a Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Nursing. Experience: ? Must successfully complete the Valleywise Health New Graduate RN training program or have prior acute nursing experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. ? Previous acute care hospital experience in the area for which he or she is applying for is preferred. Certification/Licensure: Must have ACLS and NRP upon hire or within three (3) months of hire or transfer if new grad/new to service. If less than 2 years of RN L&D experience, the candidate must complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within six (6) months and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring class within 2 years. If greater than two (2) years of RN L&D experience will need AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring upon hire. Advanced Fetal Monitoring must be maintained every two (2) years through an approved course. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ? Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must. Bilingual is preferred. ? Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills. ? Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer. ?
