This position is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to provide essential health services and ensure the well-being of students in a supportive school environment. Responsibilities: • Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions. • Conduct health screenings and maintain comprehensive health records for all students. • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special health needs. • Monitor and manage communicable diseases within the school, following guidelines from the local health department. • Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics such as wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention. • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students’ health and academic needs. • Participate in emergency response planning and provide first aid and emergency care as required. • Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations, including privacy and confidentiality laws. Requirements: • Must meet all Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requirements for Registered Nurses. • Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license. • Current CPR and First Aid certification. • Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred. • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to handle a variety of health issues. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
