Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct liaison with the billing team to identify targets for Director involvement.
Provides backup coverage when department Director is unavailable.
Assist in client and payer-related administrative projects as needed, contributing to the efficiency of client success and negotiation processes.
Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in all interactions.
Responsible for any deliverables required by contract (e.g. FWB training, quarterly TAT reporting).
Analyze large data sets; collaborate with the billing team to improve cash collections.
Consistently demonstrate the capacity to manage and resolve urgent issues that arise.
Maintain the Contract Checklist template.
Maintain the CI Reimbursement file.
Communicate the need to hold or release claims for recently contracted payers.
Occasional travel might be required.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Understands and is able to speak/read medical terminology
Strong understanding of the payer marketplace and reimbursement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in working in the payer/provider healthcare setting
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This is a remote position.
May require prolonged periods of sedentary work that requires sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
