Senior Curriculum Developer, Higher Education

This role is central to the design, development, and implementation of innovative and effective curricula for higher education programs, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and curriculum management within a university setting. Responsibilities include collaborating with faculty subject matter experts to conceptualize and draft new course content, redesign existing courses for enhanced student engagement and learning outcomes, and develop robust assessment strategies. You will be responsible for integrating technology into the curriculum, supporting the use of learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies. This hybrid position allows for strategic planning and content development remotely, complemented by on-site meetings and collaborative sessions with faculty and academic leadership. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent project management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across diverse academic departments. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of high-quality, engaging curricula for undergraduate and graduate programs. Collaborate with faculty subject matter experts to create new courses and revise existing ones. Ensure curriculum aligns with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and industry needs. Develop effective learning objectives, instructional materials, and assessment strategies. Integrate innovative pedagogical approaches and educational technologies into course design. Provide guidance and support to faculty in curriculum development and instructional best practices. Manage curriculum review and approval processes. Conduct research on trends in higher education and curriculum development. Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in curriculum design. Contribute to institutional effectiveness initiatives related to academic programs. Qualifications: Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design, preferably in higher education. Proven expertise in adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies. Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and educational technologies. Strong understanding of curriculum mapping, assessment design, and accreditation standards. Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and administrators in a hybrid environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant instructional design software. Passion for innovation in teaching and learning.
