Instructional Design Intern
Join 2100 Productions as an Instructional Design Intern to create high-quality digital learning experiences within a faith-based community.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
• Participate in the creative process to design and produce microlearning, online courses, and audiovisual learning products.
• Collaborate with Editorial, Design, Video, and UX teams as needed.
• Work with clients and the Director of Digital Learning to understand project scope and purpose.
• Gather information, research, and conceptualize instructional and visual design treatments.
• Present drafts for feedback and approval, workshop projects, and implement edits.
• Complete final deliverables in required formats (e.g., SCORM, PDF, video files).
• Develop design skills through training, conferences, and learning opportunities.
• Stay informed on communication trends, media, and technology.
• Work within InterVarsity’s Instructional Design System and brand guidelines.
• Provide technical support for InterVarsity events and conferences as assigned.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming, and feedback sessions.
• Maintain organization of instructional design files and systems.
• Raise personal support and maintain communication with ministry partners.
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
• Annual affirmation of InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
• Completed at least 4 semesters of undergraduate work in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Graphic Design, Communication, or similar, or completed a quality Instructional Design Bootcamp.
• Commitment to Jesus Christ and a heart for students, learning design, and the arts.
• Experience with computers and proficiency in at least one e-authoring tool: Articulate Rise or Storyline, Camtasia Studio, Adobe Captivate.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Premiere is a plus.
• Experience in user experience/user interface design, web design, or app development is a plus.
• Strong artistic sense, creative skills, and technical expertise in visual communication.
• Ability to work well in a team, demonstrate initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Sensitivity to diverse cultures and ethnicities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Emotional and relational maturity with strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Available to work 40+ hours per week and travel when necessary.
• Applicant must include a portfolio of at least two recent instructional design projects demonstrating strengths, style, and graphic or audiovisual skills.
