The goal of this engagement is to provide expert instructional design support to translate complex theological content and leadership formation materials into engaging and accessible asynchronous modules. 2. Scope of Work The Contractor shall provide instructional design and LMS development services including, but not limited to: •Curriculum Translation: Converting raw content from course authors and subject matter experts (SMEs) into structured, learner-centered online modules. • LMS Development: Building and configuring course shells within the Brightspace (D2L) environment, ensuring logical navigation and functional consistency. • Engagement Design: Developing asynchronous-specific elements such as interactive knowledge checks, reflection prompts, and activities that foster deep learning without real-time instruction. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Participating in coordination meetings with internal staff and external partners (Noodle) to ensure alignment with broader program standards. • Periodic Maintenance: Implementing updates, revisions, and "refresh" cycles for existing asynchronous curricula based on learner feedback or institutional shifts. 3. Accessibility Report: Confirmation that the module meets WCAG 2.1/ADA standards for screen readers and closed captioning. 4. Technical Requirements & Standards • LMS Environment: All work must be natively built or integrated within Brightspace (D2L). • Accessibility: Content must adhere to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards to ensure theological education remains accessible to all learners. • Brand Alignment: All modules must reflect our visual and pedagogical identity. 5. Compensation and Terms • Rate: The contractor shall be compensated at a rate of $40.00 - 65.00 per hour (commensurate with experience) for up to 15 hours of work per week. Hours will fluctuate depending on project needs. • Invoicing: Invoices shall be submitted at the beginning of each month detailing the hours worked and deliverables completed.
