Online ELA Teacher (K–12, Small Group Classes)
Overview
Join our growing team as an Online ELA Teacher, delivering engaging small-group classes (4–6 students) to K–12 learners in a dynamic virtual environment.
This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy working with young learners and are looking for flexible, part-time teaching opportunities. You will focus on building students’ core English skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), with a strong emphasis on communication and confidence in a supportive online classroom.
Teachers are encouraged to bring their own teaching style and adapt lesson content based on student needs. Classes are designed to be fun, interactive, and age-appropriate.
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging, interactive small-group English lessons to K–12 students in an online setting
• Build students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
• Create a positive, energetic, and supportive classroom environment
• Encourage participation and help students build confidence in communication
• Prepare and adapt lesson content based on student level and learning goals
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively in a virtual setting
• Provide basic feedback to support student progress
Qualifications
• Valid teaching credential (U.S. or equivalent)
• Experience working with K–12 students
• Strong ability to engage young learners in an interactive environment
• Comfortable using online teaching platforms and technology
• Reliable internet connection and professional teaching setup
• Patient, energetic, and encouraging teaching style
Schedule Requirements
Due to our students being based in China, classes are held during the following time windows:
Pacific Time (PT):
• Sunday – Thursday: 3:00–5:00 AM
• Friday & Saturday: 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM (overnight)
Central Time (CT):
• Sunday – Thursday: 5:00–7:00 AM
• Friday & Saturday: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (overnight)
Eastern Time (ET):
• Sunday – Thursday: 6:00–8:00 AM
• Friday & Saturday: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM (overnight)
Teachers must be able to commit to at least one consistent 1-hour time slot per week, with preference given to those with multiple available time slots.
Consistent weekly availability is required.
How the Schedule Works (Examples)
• A teacher in California (Pacific Time) might choose to teach Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00–8:00 PM
• A teacher in New York (Eastern Time) might choose to teach Sunday through Thursday mornings from 7:00–8:00 AM
Teachers can choose time slots that fit their schedule, as long as they can maintain a consistent weekly commitment.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
