Job Description:
The Teacher – Virtual Delivery Model delivers high-quality synchronous literacy and numeracy instruction within a structured virtual learning environment. Teachers build strong relationships with students and families, monitor student progress using real-time data, and collaborate with learning coaches, family advocates, and school leadership to support academic growth and whole-child development.
This role requires strong instructional practice, comfort with technology, and a commitment to innovative, student-centered learning.
We have full time and part time opportunities available for K-8 teachers licensed in New Mexico.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver daily synchronous literacy and/or math instruction aligned to standards
● Facilitate engaging, interactive lessons for assigned learning groups
● Support student learning in both synchronous and asynchronous settings
● Maintain a predictable instructional rhythm aligned to the daily schedule
Monitor student achievement using platform data and formative assessments
● Use quick charting routines to track progress and inform instruction
● Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and expectations
● Identify students needing additional support and collaborate on interventions
Create an inclusive, supportive virtual classroom culture
● Build strong relationships with students through consistent interaction and feedback ● Collaborate with learning coaches, family advocates and administrators to reinforce learning and celebrate growth
Maintain accurate records within instructional platforms and portals
● Meet organizational, district, and state compliance expectations
● Participate in team meetings and professional learning
● Engage in ongoing professional growth related to virtual instruction
Qualifications
Required
● Valid teaching certification in New Mexico
● Experience teaching literacy and/or math
● Strong communication and organizational skills
● Comfort with technology and virtual platforms
Preferred
● Experience in virtual or blended learning environments
● Data-informed instructional practice
● Experience partnering with families
