Claims Specialist - Commercial Property

Our client is a technology-driven insurance company focused on simplifying and expediting small business insurance. Their mission is to make small commercial insurance effortless through digital innovation and a partnership-based approach. We are seeking an experienced Property Claims Specialist (Commercial Property). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handling a variety of property losses and wants to be part of a forward-thinking, tech-enabled insurance platform. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement strategy to resolve Commercial Property claims including property damage, business interruption, and complex coverage scenarios • Investigate, identify, and assess coverage issues; draft coverage position letters and coordinate with coverage counsel when needed • Analyze and direct subrogation and salvage opportunities to ensure proper recovery and claim resolution • Manage the full lifecycle of claims, including working with adjusters, experts, and vendors to drive efficient outcomes • Handle complex and high-exposure property claims, including large losses and catastrophe-related events • Participate in settlement discussions, mediations, and resolution strategy as needed Qualifications: • 3–7 years of Commercial Property Claims experience (no auto) • Experience handling property damage, business interruption, builder’s risk, or catastrophe claims preferred • Strong collaboration, communication, evaluation, and negotiation skills • Proper adjuster licensing in applicable states • Solid understanding of coverage analysis and claims handling best practices • Interest in working for a technology-forward, high-growth insurance organization What’s in it for you? -100% remote -100% company paid health, dental, basic life and vision insurance -4% 401K company match (immediate vesting) -FSA/HSA options -All employees are given equity!
