Data & Product Engineer (K-12 / EdTech) – Contractor → Full-Time

We’re Hiring: Data & Product Engineering Contractor (K-12 / EdTech) Company Description KIXZO is an EdTech company transforming financial optimization and spend intelligence for K–12 school districts. We help districts uncover waste, optimize spending, and reinvest funds back into what matters most—students. Role Overview We’re looking for a highly capable, scrappy Data & Product Engineering Contractor to: • Extract and analyze district data (Clever, ClassLink, etc.) • Build the foundation of our data platform and dashboards This is a founding-level opportunity with a clear path to a CTO role . What You’ll Do Phase 1 (Immediate) • Pull and structure district data • Analyze app usage, license utilization, and redundancies • Deliver clean datasets + clear insights • Identify cost-saving opportunities Phase 2 (Build) • Design data pipelines • Automate reporting • Build dashboards (internal + client-facing) • Help shape the KIXZO platform (MVP → scalable product) Qualifications Required: • Strong Excel / Google Sheets • Experience with messy data • SQL or similar querying • Ability to turn data into insights Preferred: • API experience (Clever is a big plus) • Python or similar • Dashboard tools (Metabase, Retool, Tableau, etc.) • K-12 / EdTech experience Who You Are • Fast, responsive, detail-oriented • Operates with minimal direction • Problem-solver and builder • Thinks beyond tasks—improves systems • Excited to build from the ground up Compensation • Contractor (hourly or project-based) • Path to full-time + leadership (Head of Data / CTO) Why Join KIXZO? • Direct impact on school districts and students • Ground-floor opportunity • Shape product + technical direction • Real path to leadership If interested, send your resume to info@kixzo.com.
