YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO A POSITIVE IMPACT
The Project Manager leverages their leadership, management, and communication skills to ensure the success of projects. They plan, lead, and control key project variables (budget, schedule, quality, etc.) from project initiation through to closure. They coordinate and support the team to achieve targeted outcomes.
Responsibilities
Take ownership of clients’ project objectives and scope, and be responsible for delivering on GIRO’s promise (both contractually and functionally)
Ensure proactive communication with all stakeholders
Manage project budgets and schedules (deliverables, milestones, client responsibilities, etc.)
Identify and assess risks, and propose solutions to avoid them or mitigate their impact
Communicate resource requirements to the Project Director (sponsor)
Ensure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the projects and are regularly informed of project status
Coordinate the activities of all project participants and ensure tasks are properly executed
Monitor and control all aspects of the project (requirements, costs, billing, schedule, quality, etc.)
Negotiate change requests submitted by clients
Close projects (final project report, retrospective meeting, etc.)
Document projects and apply internal project management processes and standards
THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU A KEY MEMBER OF OUR TEAM
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager in a client-facing environment
Trilingual (spoken and written): French, English, and Spanish
(regular interaction with English- and Spanish-speaking internal and/or external clients)
University degree in a relevant field (project management, engineering, operations research, mathematics/computer science, etc.)
Knowledge of Windows®, TFS, and MS Project (an asset)
Strong project management skills and ability to solve complex problems
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (internal/external, decision-makers/operational teams) and to successfully lead all implementation phases (needs analysis, configuration, client training, and follow-up)
Ability to identify new business opportunities
Motivation to stay up to date with the latest trends in the field
Strong organizational skills and autonomy
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Strong interpersonal skills
