**Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist – International Freight Forwarding and Logistics**

We're now seeking an experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals. **Job Summary:** As an Ocean Product Development Specialist, you'll play a critical role in driving the growth of our ocean volumes and enhancing the development of our ocean product. You'll work closely with our MD of Ocean to support carrier development, pricing, and performance analysis, as well as sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert. Your expertise will help us increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality, while minimizing company risk exposure. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and implement strategies to increase ocean volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality * Collaborate with the MD of Ocean, global trade lane team, sales, and operations to communicate direction and deliverables * Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are met or exceeded * Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity * Work with the MD of Ocean and regional ocean management team to promote the ocean product * Support sales and operations as needed, including direct and indirect customer contact * Manage annual budget, control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets * Develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product, in collaboration with marketing **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree or equivalent * At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience * Proven expertise in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing * Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus * Familiarity with Microsoft Office apps * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's degree or higher * Advanced knowledge of ocean freight forwarding, including carrier development, pricing, and performance analysis * Experience working with global trade lane teams, sales, and operations * Proven track record of driving business growth and improving service quality * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Experience with budget management and financial analysis **Skills and Competencies:** * Strong business acumen and analytical skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Experience with budget management and financial analysis **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
