Transition Consultant (Dental Practice Acquisitions)

We’re hiring a Transition Consultant to lead that process for our clients.
• This job is perfect for former practicing dentists. Assistants & Hygienists will not be considered for this role.
What This Role Is
You are the quarterback for the client, and you are bringing real-world ownership experience to the table.
Our clients are dentists trying to buy their first or next practice. They are not looking for theory. They are looking for someone who has been in their shoes and can help them make the right call.
From the moment a client brings us a practice, you are responsible for helping them:
• Decide if it is actually worth pursuing
• Understand what it is truly worth in the real world, not just on paper
• Structure and submit a strong, competitive offer
• Navigate due diligence and interpret what matters vs what doesn’t
• Get to a confident close
You are not just reviewing reports or answering questions. You are using your experience as a dentist and practice owner to guide decisions, provide perspective, and help clients avoid costly mistakes.
Compensation and Structure
• Total compensation: $125,000 to $165,000 per year (base + quarterly bonus)
• Base salary: $100,000 to $115,000 depending on experience
• Quarterly bonus based on performance
• Fully remote, work from anywhere

What You Will DoPractice Evaluation and Valuation
• Review and finalize practice valuations with analyst support
• Lead client calls to walk through findings, risks, and opportunities
• Provide a clear recommendation on whether to move forward
Offer Strategy and LOI
• Advise clients on how to structure competitive offers
• Help draft and negotiate Letters of Intent
• Guide clients through broker and seller dynamics
Due Diligence Leadership
• Lead the due diligence process across financial, operational, seller, and clinical areas
• Surface risks, gaps, and concerns clearly to the client
• Help clients understand what matters and what does not
Client Decision Support
• Help clients make high-stakes decisions
• Provide perspective, not just data
• Be direct, honest, and grounded in reality
Coordination with Financing and Partners
• Help clients build the right deal team, including lenders and attorneys
• Guide who to involve, when, and why
• Make key introductions and ensure strong fit
• Provide context so clients can make informed decisions
• Keep all parties aligned and moving toward closing
Client Management
• Manage multiple clients at different stages of the process
• Maintain clear communication and next steps at all times
• Keep deals moving forward

• You manage multiple active deals without things slipping
Who This Is For
This role is best suited for someone who:
• Has deep experience in dentistry (DDS or DMD required)
• Has owned a practice or been closely involved in dental transitions
• Is comfortable advising, not just supporting
• Can communicate complex ideas simply and clearly
• Is decisive and not afraid to tell a client something they do not want to hear
• Can manage multiple deals without losing track of details
This is not a passive or purely analytical role. You need to be comfortable leading conversations and guiding outcomes.

Requirements
• DDS or DMD (required)
• Prior dental practice ownership or direct involvement in a practice transition strongly preferred
• Experience evaluating or participating in business ownership decisions (buying, selling, or operating a practice)
• Strong communication and influence skills, with the ability to guide high-stakes decisions
• Deep familiarity with dental practice operations and financial dynamics
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and active deals simultaneously
• Reliable high-speed internet and professional remote work setup
