Payroll / HR Coordinator
Job Description:
• Supports daily Human Resources administrative operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
• Processes HR department applications, including employment and enrollment applications; maintains HRIS and employment records.
• Provides accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system.
• Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy.
• Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
• Maintains employee files and HRIS records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinates background checks, I-9s, and required documentation.
• Process regular, supplemental, and off-cycle payrolls accurately and on schedule.
• Verify employee hours, rates, earnings, and deductions.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
• 1–3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
• Basic knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• HRIS experience (Paylocity or similar HR platforms preferred).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience preferred but not required.
• Very detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with timesheets and confidence using payroll systems.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
