About the Role

As a Machine Learning Engineer within our Attractions Technology division, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the creation, implementation, and support of data analysis and machine learning models that power our world-class attractions. You'll work closely with internal partners to deliver exceptional visitor experiences through intelligent and data-driven systems across arenaflex Experiences.

You will report to our Attractions Operational Technology team and become an integral part of a collaborative team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in entertainment technology. What You'll Do

• Build Strategic Partnerships: Foster and develop strong relationships with colleagues across departments, providing thought leadership and driving initiatives to completion with efficiency and effectiveness.
• Drive ML Innovation: Engage with research teams and colleagues to help drive machine learning strategies forward, identifying areas where business challenges can be solved creatively through the application of ML technologies.
• Lead Technical Initiatives: Lead and collaborate with various specialists and data scientists to execute and successfully scale ML solutions that create magical experiences for our visitors while pushing the boundaries of operational excellence.
• Innovate and Experiment: Drive research and development efforts, proofs of concept, innovation sprints, and client interactions that lead to building top-tier AI platforms.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: Manage functional support and maintenance of ML-related products and services delivered by the team, ensuring seamless operations at all times.
• Establish Best Practices: Build standard procedures used in daily operations and work with specialized units to design, plan, and execute large-scale projects in the AI and ML space.
• Productionize ML Solutions: Productionize ML algorithms in predictive analytics, clustering, image recognition, natural language processing (NLP), anomaly detection, and more, evaluating their performance on real-world datasets.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with different teams to achieve goals in improving system performance and integrate with existing software practices that produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and comprehensive code reviews.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To thrive in this role, you'll need a strong technical foundation and the ability to apply your skills creatively in an entertainment context. Here are the qualifications we're looking for:

Technical Expertise

• Programming Mastery: 2+ years of demonstrated mastery in Python with predictive modeling experience using frameworks such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, or similar technologies.
• Cloud Platform Proficiency: 2+ years of expert-level experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Software Development Excellence: Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA processes, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns.
• Data Management Skills: Expert-level experience with both structured and unstructured data (including images, video, text, audio, and more) as well as SQL, relational, and non-relational databases.
• Data Workflow Management: 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow or another data workflow management tool.
• Version Control and DevOps: Experience with version control software such as GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines.
• Business Acumen: Experience driving discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and deliver strong, practical solutions combined with excellent interpersonal skills and a determination to see tasks through to completion.
• Systems Integration: Strong systems integration architecture skills with the ability to translate new technology into business solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences would make you an even stronger candidate:

• Experience with Docker containerization technology
• Experience with configuration management tools
• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration
• Experience with cloud solutions beyond AWS and GCP
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment practices
• Experience with data visualization and data monitoring tools (such as Splunk, Plotly, Tableau)
• Experience with audio analysis and signal processing
• Experience with text analysis and natural language processing

Education Requirements

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical background.
• Preferred: Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field.
