What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

During this comprehensive internship program, you'll be immersed in meaningful work that contributes to arenaflex's mission of connecting the world. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Data Analysis and Insights: You'll work with large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that inform business decisions. This includes analyzing customer behavior, revenue metrics, and operational performance data to support strategic initiatives.
  • Software Development Support: Participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment. You'll contribute to building and maintaining applications that power our revenue management systems.
  • Cloud Technology Projects: Gain hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms and learn how to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions that meet the demanding needs of a global airline operation.
  • Problem-Solving Challenges: Tackle complex problems that require creative solutions. You'll be encouraged to think critically, propose new approaches, and learn from both successes and setbacks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders. You'll practice clear written and verbal communication skills when presenting your findings and recommendations.
  • Agile Methodology Participation: Engage with Agile practices including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives. You'll learn how modern software development teams operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain documentation for the systems you work with, ensuring knowledge transfer and contributing to the team's collective expertise.

What We're Looking For: Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be available to commit to the full 13-week summer internship program (May 13 – August 9, 2024)
  • Be willing to work from our Atlanta or Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) office locations, with most teams operating in a hybrid arrangement (part onsite, part remote) subject to management approval
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or better
  • Have completed at least two years of university coursework toward a bachelor's degree
  • Possess a degree emphasis in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Software Development, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Cybersecurity, Business Management, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, management, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles – we value inclusion and different perspectives
  • Consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself and others
  • Have a genuine interest in solving complex problems and be willing to invest the time and effort required to overcome obstacles and learn from mistakes

  • Be able to conduct yourself professionally in a business-casual work environment
  • Be interested in pursuing full-time employment with arenaflex after graduation if offered a position
  • Hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Be at least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States
