[Remote] Billing & Special Projects Accountant (Part-Time)

Campspot is a company focused on creating a meaningful camping experience for everyone, and they are seeking a Part-Time Billing & Special Projects Accountant. In this role, you will support billing operations and contribute to key accounting initiatives, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and special projects that enhance efficiency within the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send customer invoices accurately and on time
• Monitor AR balances and follow up on overdue payments
• Assist with payment applications and generate AR aging reports
• Reconcile Accounts Receivable related general ledger accounts during the month-end close
• Process and record credit memos and billing adjustments
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all customer billing activity
• Participate in accounting projects related to tax filings, audits, and automation of processes
• Identify and support opportunities to improve current accounting tools and workflows
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures as they relate to billing and revenue
• Document and update all billing and Accounts Receivable policies and procedures

• 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment
• Strong knowledge of AR and general billing processes
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
