Financial Analyst
EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is one of the fastest-growing firms in the insurance industry, headquartered in San Francisco. They are seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join their FP&A team, where the role involves supporting financial reporting and revenue operations to influence business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Create financial reports with meaningful, actionable insights for leadership
- Perform variance analysis on revenue and expenses; identify trends and drivers
- Evaluate key financial and operational metrics to support decision making
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices based on contracts and purchase orders
- Verify and post cash receipts to the general ledger with proper documentation
- Support internal and external audits related to billing and cash applications
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Business units to improve processes and data accuracy
- Build strong working relationships across teams to support financial initiatives
Skills
- Self-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate data into insights for non-finance stakeholders
- Comfort working with large datasets
- Advanced Excel skills required
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics or related field
- Understanding of GAAP Principles
- Experience with SQL, PowerBI, or Oracle preferred
- 1 - 2 years of experience in finance and accounting preferred
- Experience with ERP or billings systems preferred
