Procurement Contract Manager - Utility experience - remote in EST

Position: Procurement Contract Manager Contract Length: 6 months Location: Newark, NJ Work Setup: Hybrid (Remote flexibility possible) Our organization is seeking a skilled Procurement Contract Manager to join our Procurement department in Newark, NJ. This 6-month contract role supports critical capital categories, including inside plant and transmission projects, and plays a key role in driving strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance. Procurement Contract Manager Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end RFP processes for capital projects, including inside plant and transmission initiatives • Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, subcontracts, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, teaming agreements, and contract modifications • Manage day-to-day purchasing, procurement, and property management activities • Serve as property custodian for assets under prime contracts • Resolve supplier disputes and support effective vendor relationship management • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and government contracting requirements • Assist in developing procurement policies, procedures, and contract templates Procurement Contract Manager Qualifications Required Qualifications: • Bachelor s degree • 4 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or strategic sourcing • Strong experience conducting RFPs and negotiating complex contracts • Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and compliance requirements • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and mitigate contractual risk Nice-to-Have Qualifications: • Experience supporting capital infrastructure, utilities, or transmission projects • Advanced expertise in contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal oversight The ideal Procurement Contract Manager will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex contractual matters in a dynamic environment.
