Senior Lead QA Engineer (Contract, Remote – USA)

This is a remote position. About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Lead QA Engineer to own and elevate our quality strategy across products. This role blends hands-on testing, test automation leadership, and team mentorship. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, and stakeholders to ensure we ship reliable, high-quality software at scale. Key Responsibilities • Define and lead the overall QA strategy, processes, and best practices • Own test planning, execution, and reporting across multiple projects • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers • Drive test automation strategy and implementation (UI, API, and/or mobile) • Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to define acceptance criteria • Ensure quality is embedded early in the SDLC (shift-left testing) • Review requirements, designs, and technical solutions for stability • Track and communicate quality metrics, risks, and release readiness • Champion continuous improvement in tools, frameworks, and workflows Requirements • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing • 2+ years in a QA Lead or Senior QA role • Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies • Hands-on experience testing web applications, APIs, and/or mobile apps • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Nice to Have • Experience with performance and/or security testing • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Experience scaling QA practices in fast-growing teams • ISTQB or similar certifications Pay: $76,502.84 - $120,132.45 per year Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
