[Remote] Financial Analyst / Modeler | Series A Fintech Platform

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mansfield Black is supporting a high growth VC backed Fintech startup seeking a Forward Deployed Finance Business Partner for a remote role. The role involves building financial models, training teams, and working closely with CFOs and finance leaders to operationalize financial data and improve decision-making processes. Responsibilities • Working with Mid level Enterprise and large SMB customers • Build financial models, and train teams to make better decisions with their data • You will operate as a finance partner, consultant, and technical product expert—helping CFOs and finance leaders model scenarios, forecast outcomes, and operationalize Runway across their organization • You’ll manage a book of business and run 2–4 high-impact customer sessions per day, combining finance expertise with hands-on product work • Lead customers through onboarding, implementation, and adoption—from setup to scale • Build and refine financial models (forecasts, income statements, balance sheets, scenario analysis) • Run live working sessions and training calls with finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders • Partner with product and success teams to improve onboarding and customer workflows • Drive measurable outcomes: time-to-value, retention, and customer independence • Troubleshoot data integrations, structured data workflows, and SQL-based mapping when needed Skills • Deep understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and scenario modeling • 3-6 Years experience - Either from FP+A/ modelling in top SaaS start ups, OR Consultants/ Ex Big4 with commercial industry experience OR VC desk analysts who can present and build • Experience working directly with external B2B clients or stakeholders • Comfort working with structured data (SQL experience is a strong plus) • Strong Excel/Sheets modeling skills Benefits • Equity Company Overview • Mansfield Black is a job search and recruitment firm for the finance and accounting industries.
