Position Overview
Our Ticket & Gate Service Representatives are integral to daily airport operations. You will handle ticketing and baggage check‑in, manage gate announcements, operate loading bridges, and provide personalized assistance to passengers with special needs. Shifts are dynamic and reflect the ebb and flow of flight schedules, offering flexibility for those who thrive in fast‑paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Check‑In & Boarding – Own the entire check‑in process, verify travel documentation, and manage seat assignments while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Gate Announcements & Communication – Deliver clear, timely announcements regarding boarding groups, flight changes, and safety procedures.
- Baggage Handling – Tag, lift, and transport luggage from scales to conveyor belts, handling items up to 70 pounds safely and efficiently.
- Aircraft Door Operations – Open, close, and secure aircraft doors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols before and after each flight.
- Loading Bridge Management – Operate jet bridges to connect the terminal with the aircraft, assisting passengers as needed.
- Special Assistance – Escort unaccompanied minors, assist passengers with disabilities, and coordinate any additional support services required throughout the airport.
- Shift Flexibility – Work a variety of shifts ranging from early morning to overnight, with weekly hours typically between 20 and 40 based on seniority and operational demand.
- Safety & Security Prioritization – Consistently enforce safety standards, protect personal data, and conduct routine equipment checks.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Minimum age of 18 years and legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficient English communication skills—both spoken and written—with proper grammar, tone, and pronunciation.
- Basic digital literacy, comfortable using ticketing and airport management software.
- Ability to pass a Physical Ability Test (PAT) and a Customer Service Assessment.
- Willingness to obtain airport‑specific credentials such as a SIDA badge and Customs seal.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, security, and the respectful treatment of all passengers and colleagues.
