Technical Accounting Consultant

About the position Our client, a global technology company, is seeking a highly experienced Technical Accounting Consultant for a 6-month engagement. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys tackling complex accounting challenges related to revenue, infrastructure, leasing, and data center operations. The role offers exposure to strategic, non-routine transactions with the ability to partner cross-functionally with legal, tax, and global finance teams. This position is 100% remote and can be performed from any U.S. time zone. Responsibilities • Research and analyze accounting implications of complex or unique transactions and present findings in clear, concise memos and presentations • Interpret U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance to determine appropriate accounting treatments and reporting requirements • Partner with global technical accounting teams and SEC reporting teams to ensure consistency across standards (e.g., IFRS and US GAAP) • Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on financial and operational reporting Requirements • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance • CPA or equivalent qualification with strong US GAAP experience • 10+ years of experience in financial statement auditing, financial accounting, or a similar technical accounting role • Demonstrated ability to research, document, and communicate complex accounting guidance and policy Benefits • Discretionary bonuses Apply tot his job
