Content Editor & Journalist — Legal Industry Resource Center - Contract to Hire
In-House Connect is the largest free community for in-house legal professionals, with 40,000+ subscribers nationwide. We're launching a Resource Center and need a strong writer and editor to build it out.
This is a contract role producing a mix of content types: member interviews and profiles (Q&As with GCs and in-house counsel), case studies, event recaps from our webinars and networking mixers, sponsor highlight pieces, legal industry news and updates, and product announcements.
You'd be shaping the editorial voice from day one — this isn't slotting into an existing content operation. It's building one.
What we're looking for:
3-7 years in journalism, editorial, or content marketing — legal, business, or professional services experience preferred
Strong interviewer who can get a busy GC to open up and turn it into a compelling read
Experience with case studies, profiles, and feature writing — not just blog posts
Comfort producing sponsored content that feels valuable and native, not promotional
Editorial judgment and the ability to work independently without a detailed playbook
Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic SEO
