Senior WooCommerce Developer (Part-Time | Project-Based | Ongoing Work)

We manage $150M+ in annual ad spend for franchise systems, eCommerce brands, and local businesses across North America. As we expand our web development and eCommerce capabilities, we’re looking for a Senior WooCommerce Developer who can build and maintain high-performing online stores with a focus on custom functionality, performance optimization, and scalable architecture. This role will support client projects that require development beyond standard themes and plugins. What You’ll Be Doing • Build custom WooCommerce functionality using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS • Implement custom plugins, checkout logic, and advanced store features • Troubleshoot and resolve complex WooCommerce issues (plugin conflicts, checkout bugs, broken logic, payment issues) • Integrate and debug tracking systems including GA4, Facebook CAPI, and custom data layers • Work with WordPress REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations (CRM, marketing tools, ERPs, etc.) • Support “rescue projects” for existing WooCommerce stores needing debugging or performance fixes • Translate Figma designs into fully functional WordPress/WooCommerce builds • Optimize sites for Core Web Vitals, page speed, and scalability What We’re Looking For • 3+ years of WooCommerce development experience • Strong experience with: - PHP (WordPress + WooCommerce development) - JavaScript (DOM manipulation required) - HTML/CSS/SCSS • Deep understanding of: - WordPress architecture and hooks - WooCommerce core functionality and customization - Plugin ecosystem limitations and workarounds • Experience creating custom plugins, themes, and WooCommerce extensions • Ability to debug complex issues independently • Experience integrating payment gateways, APIs, and external services Bonus Skills • Experience with Headless WordPress / WooCommerce (React, Next.js, or GraphQL) • Experience with advanced performance optimization and caching strategies • Agency experience working across multiple client projects Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
