[Remote] Financial Data Scientist – Pricing Optimization (FIT)

They are seeking a Financial Data Scientist to lead their Financial Impact Testing pricing optimization platform, involving the development of predictive pricing models and translating outputs into financial insights. Responsibilities • FIT Platform Ownership: Serve as the technical and analytical owner of the FIT model; success means reliable performance and continuous improvement • Price Optimization Modeling: Build and refine pricing algorithms, elasticity models, and optimization scenarios; success is measurable financial impact and accuracy of projections • Data Engineering & Pipelines: Develop scalable data pipelines using Databricks and GCP; success is efficient processing of large datasets supporting pricing logic • Front-End Collaboration: Work with engineers on Angular-based UI enhancements; success is intuitive and performant user interfaces • Financial Translation: Convert pricing outputs into full P&L scenarios and business cases; success is clear, actionable insights for leadership Skills • Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or related field • 6+ years in data science, pricing analytics, or financial modeling roles • Databricks (Spark) • GCP • Angular • Price optimization, elasticity modeling • Financial analysis including P&L and contribution margin • Scenario modeling, systems thinking, market awareness • Strong familiarity with financial services and healthcare markets • Ability to work independently and design long-term scalable systems • Experience with healthcare pricing strategy • Experience building enterprise-scale analytical platforms • Prior consulting or pricing strategy background Benefits • Competitive Salary • Health & Wellness: Access to company health programs and tools • Work-Life Balance: Fully remote with flexible scheduling • Professional Development: Exposure to advanced pricing models and large-scale data engineering environments • Additional Perks: Opportunity to own a mission-critical pricing platform with enterprise-level impact Company Overview • Burtch Works is an executive recruiting firm.
