Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments as appropriate. Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions. Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport. Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions [Required] • Ability to identify and treat life-threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice [Required] • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required] • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] • Ambulance transport knowledge [Preferred] Education: • Associate's [Preferred] Field of Study: • N/A Work Experience: • 1+ years patient care experience [Required] Additional Information: Preferred qualification for state of employment will be required.
